food to lose weight

You can drop fat by eating the best foods to lose weight. But what are these foods? To lose weight you need to understand just how your body works and how it deals with what you put in your mouth to achieve the success you want.

Artificial What?
No one has ever lost weight in a healthy manner by eating artificial food. Think about all the artificial sweeteners you have heard of in your lifetime. Each one has specific, often debilitating, side effects. Chances are, if a food has no calories it is because it has been so altered from its natural state your body no longer recognizes it.

Do you remember the artificial fats that were used in potato chips? Do you recall the effect? People’s bodies couldn’t get rid of that “fat” fast enough. The result wasn’t pretty.

Artificial sweeteners are associated with cancer, synthetic colors with allergic reactions and hyperactivity, and man-made flavorings are associated with formaldehyde. None of these make for the best foods to lose weight.

So What are the Best Foods to Lose Weight?
That is the basic question that trips up so many people when they focus on weight loss rather than health.

If you eat the right things, the weight will come off because your body will be well fed, and not constantly craving strange things in an attempt to be well nourished.

Go Back to Nature? Not a Bad Choice
Aside from the fact that we live a much more sedentary lifestyle than any other generation of humans before us, we also have access to more foods than we can ever taste in our lifetimes. Many of those foods are downright bad for us.

Others should be good, but have been so far removed from their original state that any nutritional value is long gone. Let’s look at just one–milk.

You would think, from the advertisements offered by the National Milk Council that milk and dairy products were the fountain of youth. In fact, many people are completely unable to digest milk in any form.

This is because the process of pasteurization destroys the enzymes in raw milk that facilitate digestion. The calcium in milk is hard to access so it has to be fortified. When all is said and done, you still don’t get what you can from iron and calcium rich vegetables of fish.

Here is the “Secret”
Are you ready? The secret is to stop dieting and start eating foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Whole grains, grass fed meats, wild caught fish and organic produce should grace your plate.

There is nothing particularly revolutionary about this kind of eating; it just seems that we have forgotten where we came from.

With the average American eating 137 pounds of sugar each year, how can we possibly be surprised that we no longer know how to eat? When nearly everything in the market has traveled hundreds of miles to get there, been gassed into “ripeness” and frequently was never found in nature – how can you expect to lose weight eating it?

If you really want to know which are the best foods to lose weight, go back to the beginning and start all over again.
